Hey there, Lir, your resident Lyle, popping in to let you know I've picked up two of my old babies, Hana and Matt, and they'll be coming out to play soon.
Ok. Still trying to analyze the new graphic novel and interpret in a way that means Hana isn't dead. Again. *Headdesk*

215: Seduction

I’m a soldier. I use any weapon at my disposal. I consider my body one of those. If I have to seduce a man to get whatever I need, I won’t hesitate. I’ll go for it like the predator I am. Take Casey… Smith, was it? Yes, Casey Z. Smith. Nice enough guy, lucky to work for the Pentagon. Or unlucky, however you want to look at it. I gave him a night to remember, at any rate. Poor lonely bastard, willing to believe that a beautiful woman liked him for no other reason than himself. I admit, I enjoyed using him. It’s control, pure and simple, and that’s something I can’t get enough of. Does this make me a bad person? Some would say yes. I say, I just play with the cards I’m dealt. It’s hard enough for a woman in this world, and I will use any advantage I have.

211: Old Acquaintance

Speeding down the highway, the wind whipping around her and her bike, and suddenly her attention was caught. Amidst the jumble of emails, text messages, and other signals, one little thing stood out. Him? Now? She distrustfully scanned his message. Parkman and Sprague found me. I'm changing side, Hana. I need your help to shut it all down. It took her a long moment to process that. Why now? What had happened? Could she ever, ever trust this man who had put her through so much, and then abandoned her to her fate? She would have to be insane. Stark raving mad. He deserved more than the one punch she’d given him, up in the arctic. Hopefully it would be her hand that gave it to him.

But the real question was this: did she have the luxury to refuse his help? No. He was the closest they could get to an inside man. He knew more than any of them could ever hope to. A brief flicker of eyelids and her reply was sent.

[Wireless] I’ll do it.

I Am A: Chaotic Neutral Human Sorcerer (4th Level)

Ability Scores:

Chaotic Neutral A chaotic neutral character follows his whims. He is an individualist first and last. He values his own liberty but doesn't strive to protect others' freedom. He avoids authority, resents restrictions, and challenges traditions. A chaotic neutral character does not intentionally disrupt organizations as part of a campaign of anarchy. To do so, he would have to be motivated either by good (and a desire to liberate others) or evil (and a desire to make those different from himself suffer). A chaotic neutral character may be unpredictable, but his behavior is not totally random. He is not as likely to jump off a bridge as to cross it. Chaotic neutral is the best alignment you can be because it represents true freedom from both society's restrictions and a do-gooder's zeal. However, chaotic neutral can be a dangerous alignment because it seeks to eliminate all authority, harmony, and order in society.

Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.

Sorcerers are arcane spellcasters who manipulate magic energy with imagination and talent rather than studious discipline. They have no books, no mentors, no theories just raw power that they direct at will. Sorcerers know fewer spells than wizards do and acquire them more slowly, but they can cast individual spells more often and have no need to prepare their incantations ahead of time. Also unlike wizards, sorcerers cannot specialize in a school of magic. Since sorcerers gain their powers without undergoing the years of rigorous study that wizards go through, they have more time to learn fighting skills and are proficient with simple weapons. Charisma is very important for sorcerers; the higher their value in this ability, the higher the spell level they can cast.

Coming home

OOC: Set after this.

Hana let herself flow into Isaac's loft, sighing as she felt her body taking shape around her. It had ceased to be an overwhelming sensation, and was now merely... pleasant. Very pleasant. It usually put her in just the sort of mood for pouncing Isaac, which, in all honesty, was what she was already in the mood for when she arrived. And today was no different. Especially since she knew he'd be waiting for her. She looked up to see where he was, smiling in her predatory fashion.

207: Control

I like being in control—of my life, of my actions, of my emotion—and I will do all I can to keep that control. I may seem like a cold, hard bitch—all right, I am a cold, hard bitch—but what do you expect? I’m a soldier. I’ve been betrayed, time and time again. I’ve had my hopes and dreams ripped from me. But with few exceptions, I have swiftly taken control of what was given me and—at times forcibly—forged a new path. And yes, I may be a bit rigid and unyielding. I may not know how to connect to another person. I may not know how to… love someone. I may have to force myself out of my shell to show the tiniest bit of affection—which often is expressed in semi-violent ways. But I am who I am. And I am in control of all that I do.

206: What do you live for?

I don’t.

Two things, however, keep me hanging on to this half-life of digital existence. One is bringing down the Company so that my kind can live in safety. It’s what I died doing, and there’s no reason to stop now.

The other is a charming smile and gentle hands, a pretty face and a caring soul. Things I never would have appreciated while I was alive. Isaac has shown me so many things about being human that I tried so long to keep locked away. He’s taught me why to feel, how to care. And I cannot find a way to tell him any of it, other than my habit of violently physical affection. Even now, my trust issues rule my actions, and I wish I knew how to overcome them. Perhaps, in time, he can teach me that, too.

I never knew how to live until after I died.
